Travel + Lodging
We know this might be a bit off the beaten path, but trust us—it’s absolutely worth it!

Tomales holds a special place in our hearts. It’s a charming little town with just one café, one general store, one hotel, one town hall—you get the idea. It’s also the last stop before Dillon Beach, one of Dodger’s favorite places, making it even more meaningful to us.

That said, there’s plenty to explore in the area. Dillon Beach is only 8 minutes away and offers a variety of cozy AirBnBs. Petaluma, less than 30 minutes inland, is brimming with food, drinks, entertainment, and lodging options. Whether you stay by the beach or in town, it’s the perfect opportunity to make a weekend of it and enjoy the local vibe.

Further afield, Bodega Bay offers stunning coastal views and activities, and Tomales itself invites you to slow down and enjoy its small-town charm.

Below, we’ve included a list of lodging, directions, activities, and some of our favorite stops along the way.
Take your time, have some fun, and make the most of this beautiful corner of California!
