Leah Scott-Kirby is a writer and artist living in South Lake Tahoe, California. Her work explores the quiet strangeness of everyday life, where memory, our own personal hidden folklore, and the natural world overlap. She writes stories that linger at the edge of the real, searching for meaning in what people keep, hide, and hand down.

Leah co-founded The Practice of Writing, a creative community devoted to craft and connection. She holds a BA in Literature from University of California Santa Barbara and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Southern Maine.
