Leah grew up in a small Californian suburb, where her memories either sizzle under the scalding sun or drown in torrential rain—though that might just be her imagination running wild. She's always chased adventure, the kind that pulls you into different worlds, or at least into new time zones.
In 2014, Leah earned her BA in Literature from UC Santa Barbara and realized her life needed a bit more adventure. So, she hopped on a plane to New Zealand, reigniting her love affair with writing, one she'd unknowingly let cool. Her curiosity about people and places grew, carrying her through Scotland, Ireland, England, Wales, and Iceland, where she collected stories from every soul she encountered.

Back in California, Leah reluctantly traded in her traveler’s backpack for a coffee apron, spending seven years smelling like fresh brews and fruity single-origin beans. Eventually, she transitioned into marketing, a job that lets her flex her creative writing muscles.

Now based in South Lake Tahoe, Leah lives with her fiancé, their 9-year-old human, two very energetic dogs, and a chinchilla with an attitude. She spends her time running through the mountains, sunbathing in her kayak, and starting (but rarely finishing) creative projects. With an MFA in Creative Writing under her belt, she’s ready for whatever adventure comes next.

People say she’s quirky, maybe a little awkward, but she likes to think of herself as 'peculiar.'
