I woke up with that taste in my mouth

I woke up with that taste in my mouth

The one you can feel in your fingertips

The one that carves out the vibrations of dawn

Leaves an empty cavity

Humid

Muggy

Yearning

I woke up feeling cumbersome,

bulky and alone
